The Art of Herbal Formulation - Nov. 11 & 12

Learn to create safe, effective herbal formulas to treat both acute and complex, chronic health conditions in this interactive class. Together we’ll deconstruct, and construct, the components of traditional formulas derived from the Physio-Medicalist, Cherokee, Bell, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic and Triune systems. You’ll learn to understand the reasoning and therapeutic logic behind many classic, time-honored formulas as well as common commercial herb products.

The second part of this weekend introduces you to a valuable method for preparing and organizing your consultation files. Learn about the many essential forms, quick references and clinical observation tools that provide the basic components of a simple clinical binder. Also covered: pre- and post-consultation paperwork, quick herbal reference pages, herb-drug interaction tables and other personalized materials are also covered.

The information presented this weekend seminar is invaluable for anyone beginning an herbal practice whether it is with family, friends or the general public. We’ll also allow plenty of time for your questions.

​​After experimenting with various formulation methods, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to create your own custom herb formulas whether your apothecary contains 30 herbs or two hundred.  Throughout the weekend we’ll discuss a wide range of herbs but always with an emphasis on local plants.
